My Approach

Depending on the child's developmental age and personal needs and preferences, I will incorporate play therapy, art therapy, talk therapy, somatic therapy, sand tray therapy, and attachment therapy (for example, Theraplay) into their treatment. All of these therapies are effective in helping children/teens express and explore their thoughts and feelings, developing coping strategies, and fostering resilience.

Treatment may include psychoeducation and consultation with the individual child/teen, as well as with their caregivers. Additionally, collaboration with other supports in the individual's life, for example, school support staff and social workers, may be recommended to help support the individual outside of therapy.
